About Us

Maison Tahissa is an art gallery located on rue des Saints Pères, in the famous Left Bank square in Paris.
Led by Sarah Kalani, Maison Tahissa focuses on the decorative arts, with a particular emphasis on Textile Arts.

Since 2001, Sarah Kalani and Ali Bayat, its founders, art dealers with a passion for modern art, have been reviving their roots and initiating a revival of Persian carpets.

The House’s expertise has enabled artists such as Vincent Beaurin and Pierre Kiandjan to offer exceptional rugs woven in their workshops in Iran.

The company also diversifies its collection of tapestries, engravings, photographs and ceramics.

Tapis Sur Mesure

Ali Bayat, a remarkable carpet designer, created the collection. Coming from an immemorial family of weavers, he knows how to interweave the threads of his aesthetic universe and translate his designs into innovative gestures. He challenges codes, reinvents ways of representing the world, and brings to life modern carpets with timeless designs from his workshops in Iran.

His creations, of great beauty, hand-knotted in the secret of an ancestral “know-how”, are very successful with an international clientele composed of individuals, museum curators, and interior designers.

In their tireless desire to reconcile modernity and tradition, to bring together the East and the West, the couple began designing trendy environments and opened an interior design department in 2005. Their universe inspires. Their audacity amazes and Tahissa becomes synonymous with elegance and the art of living.

Close to its clients, Tahissa anticipates their desires and gathers from its travels around the world a refined collection of rare, high-end furniture, lighting, and art deco and design objects.

You will discover at the gallery a refined selection of works of various inspirations, designed to make your eyes shine and sublimate your interior.
