Vincent Beaurin

After studying at the École Boulle, a school of applied arts in Paris, Vincent Beaurin (*1960, Charleville-Mézières, France) first turned to paint. In 1998, with his interest in the interaction between art and design, he created an agency that he directed for four years before returning to fine arts. Equally interested in contemporary forms and prehistoric art (he even learned to carve flint), Beaurin has created a hybrid universe of forms and materials that includes references to shamanic deities and cave paintings, as well as ironic quotations from the formal vocabulary of modernity.
